Through the years the photograph has been considered as a representation of memory. I am interested in questioning the permanence of the image and its association with memory. Memory is not permanent but it fades over time. Memory is also layered and most times human beings do not recollect every incident with vivid details. They are merely flashes of an event, a place or people who we associate with a specific memory. In an attempt to explore this aspect, the photographs in this series are deliberately altered by using various means like physical abrasion, chemical treatment etc.
